As your creativity coach, I’ll advocate for your creative output and pursuits, always motivating you to Just Keep Rowing. Just Keep Rowing is not about relentless hustle or work as a bruising grind. Just Keep Rowing is about satisfying, forward progress at a sustainable, personal pace. How do I know this approach works? I’ve lived it.
Ten-ish years ago, a chronic illness set me adrift. I was transitioning away from a twelve-year career as an early childhood educator, where I taught Pre-K and presented classroom environment workshops to teachers. I was transitioning into a small business, building an art and writing studio and online presence. I hadn’t accepted that health issues would change my creative pursuits. I’d taken on home renovation project management and sold my mixed media art both online and in a local, eco-home interior boutique. I also presented wellness and creativity workshops through a regional KidLit organization. In time, I couldn’t keep the oars in the water on all fronts. So, my solution-focused, grounded-in-research resourcefulness kicked into high gear. I examined what past experiences had taught me about moving in rhythm with myself, not outside forces, and I set new boundaries based on what would support my work ethos and wellness. My mind has always been highly organized, my heart deeply artistic. As I packed my brain with knowledge and tools, I began to feed my inner power the practice it needed to guide me on input and output. Now, I’m on-course with a combination of work options that balance risks, rewards, and wellness while also allowing space to refine and reinvent my art and writing style and offerings, including craftivism.
Because of this experience, I creativity coach for:
artists, writers, makers
teachers, change-seekers, craftivists
small, hand-made businesses, brands, & freelancers
newbies, in-betweens, professionals
rule followers, rule benders, rebel hearts
home, garden, or boutique do-it-yourselfers
stand-alone projects or life style makeovers
